Intel’s Acquisition of Lantiq closes

I’m excited to announce that Intel has successfully closed the acquisition of Lantiq. This acquisition enables us to extend our success in cable home gateways into DSL and fiber markets giving us full coverage of broadband access methods around the world. The teams are already developing innovative ways to create new products to benefit our customers, which we’ll share more about in the coming months.

The broader, comprehensive range of connectivity solutions and home cloud technologies we will deliver will enable global service providers, OEMs and other companies to bring new home computing experiences to market. And ultimately, we can help make people’s homes even smarter and more connected than they are today.
