Lantiq has many years of experience in the HDLC Protocol Controller market and offers products for channelized and unchannelized HDLC controlling.
The Lantiq MUNICH512 HDLC controller is a highly integrated protocol controller that implements HDLC (High-Level Data Link Control), PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol), SS7 (Signalling System 7) protocol and Transparent Mode (TMA) processing for up to 512 bi-directional channels. The MUNICH512 perfectly fits in voice or data control applications in the wireless 2G/3G infrastructure, low end E1/T1 router and interconnect applications.
The Lantiq SEROCCO™ multiprotocol serial communications controllers provide throughput of up to 16 Mbit/s full duplex on each port and deep (64 byte) TX and RX FIFO‘s. The µP interface can be operated as either 8 or 16 Bit with a maximum of 33 MHz bus speed and can be configured to be compatible with both Intel® or Motorola® style processors. The design of the SEROCCO™ supports HDLC, BISYNC, ASYNC and PPP protocols. A DMA controller handshake interface is provided. The SEROCCO™ is ideally suited for Serial Link Control, Intersystem or Backplane Communication, LAN/WAN Internetworking, Maintenance Ports on WAN Switches/Routers, Mobile Base Stations, Workstations, Servers and Modems.
16 ports at T1, E1, and up to 8Mbit/s per port with max. aggregated data rate of 130 Mbit/s
Port 0 can be assigned to 45Mbit/s unchannelized throughput
